Falling into Place

As I vacation here in Nova Scotia,
my mind is in Manitoba.
We listed our house for sale with
showings starting on a Friday and
we received an offer on the following
Tuesday.

We will know by Friday if it is a firm offer.
When we sat down yesterday to talk about
the counter counter offer and finally said
“Yes, let’s accept.” I sat down on my
Mother-in-law’s bed and I cried.

Only one other move affected me like this…
When we went to Waterloo, we moved into
our house 6 months to the day we married.
After the movers left I retreated to the new
master bedroom and sat down on the bed
and I cried.

Sometimes new beginnings are scary and
we reluctantly leave our homes… as I leave
Brandon for the last time I will be watching
in the rear view mirror as that tiny prairie
city fades off into the distance and my heart
will break just a little as we leave that life
behind.

New beginnings are sometimes difficult, but, you have the love of great family to see you through your changes. I admire the relationship you have with Craig and the way the two of you adore each other so much. Think beyond the change, Nic. All things happen for a reason.

I am a crier too! I can’t even imagine moving again and I have only moved 3 times in my life (one of them I was 5 so I barely remember!)

Take care and good luck

I grew up in Ohio. Everytime I go back to visit, I still drive past my old house and cry. Hugs!!
