And this is how today went…..

Drop off = crying, today. Guess that three day weekend with Mommy & Daddy is just enough for her to think she is never going back to day care. *sigh* we’ll get there.

Pick up = pout, pout, pout, cry. It took her forfreakingever but she cried. Her lip quivered for few minutes and then she cried. She was outside covered in sidewalk chalk, so I am not sure if she was crying because, “Oh my goodness, Mommy I miss you sooooo much.” or if it was more of a “Oh my goodness, I was having so much fun until you showed up.”

Then we get home and Daddy is going to be late so I start feeding Piper and myself. She is cranky and tired. So after supper, I immediately give her a bath and get her ready for bed just in case she doesn’t last long after Daddy gets home. That was all for nothing…. let me tell you why.

Aside from some general crankiness, it is hard to tell if/when Piper isn’t feeling well. Her nose was running a bit so I just assumed that she was probably feeling a bit under the weather. After she is bathed and Daddy is home she is walking around the house jibber jabbering. Not being cranky at all. AT ALL. NOTHING. Just jibber jabbering… she is standing in the kitchen and just as I turn to walk away she pukes all over the floor, her belly and her feet. It just kept coming (and she was so damn calm about it). So I walk over to her and hold her hands and tilt her head so she could finish throwing up. Then she started to cry. I almost did too. Standing there with puke all over my feet.

I put her back in the tub and brought her to my bed to watch some Treehouse and relax. She played beside me and jibber jabbered until Daddy put her down to sleep. You would never know that she just got sick all over the kitchen.

That’s my girl, nothing gets her down.
