Dear Davilyn –

Two months already and you should just be reaching the one month mark. Mama has been doing her best to get the three of us out of the house and you pretty much go with the flow.

You are such a good baby. I’m one lucky Mama. You sleep great in your crib, pack n play and even in the van. We had a check up at the hospital for your hearing screen and you passed. I wasn’t concerned since I have noticed that you were reacting to sound. While we were the audiologist noted that your hospital chart said that you were six weeks early. Your Daddy and I joke that Mama has an automatic eviction once my babies reach 7lbs 1oz. All joking aside, we are so fortunate that despite your early arrival you were healthy. That is all that matters.

You and I enjoyed our first trip to the movies together. We went to see “Get Smart” and Mama really enjoyed our time together. I think you did too but it was hard to tell with all that sleeping you were doing.

You and I enjoy some bonding time on Mondays and Wednesdays when Piper goes to daycare. It has really been great and I enjoy our time alone getting to know one another. I think it is important for us.

You are starting to smile a bit more for us now and Mommy can’t wait until you are smiling all of the time. You are a pretty content baby so I am sure you will be smiling and giggling all the time. In fact you rarely cry except when you are hungry and we don’t come running fast enough. But that is how you get your voice heard around here that is for sure.

I enjoy watching you and your sister together. Although you are not much of a playmate at this age, the time will come when the two of you are running around after eachother. I look forward to the two of you interacting more and forming a special bond. Soon I will hear all sorts of giggles and laughter from you both.

You have been more than a welcome addition to our family. Mommy is so blessed to have another beautiful little girl to love, snuggle and have fun with.

Mommy loves you Bugaboo.

Love, Mommy.
