Dear Piper ~
I don’t know when it was that you got so big. I am sure it was just yesterday that you were just starting to speak and say “pease”, “up”, “Mama” and now you are quite the conversationalist. In fact, just last night, while driving in the van I told your Daddy that I may very well lose my mind when I have two in the back seat talking my ear off. You are so much fun.
I can’t imagine my life without you and your sister Davilyn. Perfect pieces to our family puzzle. Perfect. My heart explodes when I see the both of you and when I catch quiet moments where you are both laying on the floor holding hands. My heart melts.
You spent a week with Gramma & Papa at the end of November. When you came home you were pronouncing “yesterday” perfectly. I will miss hearing you say things like,
“But Mama, I just napped yas day”
I had a brief moment of grieving… my baby girl is losing her baby words and becoming a big girl. I’m proud and heartbroken at the same time. Daddy wonders what I will do when you jet set off to University thousands of miles away. Well, I set him straight and told him that we would all be moving. In reality though, I know, that someday you will leave home for a life of your own… just don’t go too far. I will still want to see your smiling face everyday.

Oh my goodness Piper, look at you!! You’re getting so big and beautiful. It’s not hard to see why your momma loves you sooooo much!!!
