Davilyn is not a snuggly baby. When holding her, she would rather look away from you at everything else that is going on around her. Rarely will she lay her head on your shoulder or chest, unless she is under the weather or really tired.
Even when really tired, she would much rather we just swaddle her and put her in her crib. This is new to us since we have an (almost) three year old that still loves to cuddle. Davilyn isn’t even fond of sleeping in our bed. Something that I am torn about but Craig loves. I kinda wanted to bring another baby into our bed. It’s extra time together, which will be all the more important once I am back to work more than one day a week. But Davilyn wants none of it. She doesn’t drift right off with a sigh and a smile… oh no. She would rather wake and talk and carry on. It’s like she wonders, “Why else would I be here with you all?”
I am sure there are lots of babies just like her but this is unheard of at The Rumour Mill.

As much as I would love to cuddle up with Chicka in our bed on occasion, there’s no way in heck that she’ll sleep. After she was about 3 or 4 months old, there was none of that happening ever. In general, I’m glad that she’ll sleep on her own but the odd co-nap would be nice.
Hopefully when she’s older.
We have NO cuddly kids around here unless they are sick! So enjoy your one cuddly one!
