Month 15 – Letter to Davilyn

You are by far one of the cutest things that I have ever laid eyes on. I could just eat you right up.

You are now walking! I love watching you toddle all over the place. I need to make a mental note to get more of your toddles on video, it’s just that cute. You are that cute.

You and your sister are starting to actually play together now and I love it. You both will venture off to Piper’s room and I can hear you playing and making a mess. Sometimes you will play together in there for an hour. These are many of the highlights of my days…. watching my children playing together. Your relationship with your siblings is going to be very important throughout your life and I want to help you create those bonds and those ties.

You are still very much a Mama’s Girl. It is unlike anything I have experienced with Piper. Nothing makes you happier than being in my arms. I love you, Boo… I really do. But this is so frustrating for me. I love that you love me and need me but I just cannot carry you around all. the. time. I hope this phase passes soon.

Summer is coming to a close and despite the terrible weather, we made the most of it. We went camping as much as we possibly could. We spent time at Tinkertown and the zoo. And when the weather just would not give us a break, we spent a few days in a hotel playing at the water park. It was fun!

You are starting to talk so much too. Most of the time, I really have no idea what you are saying but it is fun pretending that I do. Your words, so far, include: Mama, Dada, Piper, Papa, Yay, Bum and Ta Ta.

You have such a great personality and you are almost always in a good mood. You love to giggle and laugh and smile but when you are upset, watch out!

I love you so very much and I know your Daddy does too. We watch you sleeping or playing and we steal a glance at each other and smile. Forever thankful for the blessing that is you.
