Our bedtime routine has changed since I came home with Quinn from the hospital. Due to the fact that I had a c-section, I cannot lift Davilyn into her crib so Craig has been putting her to bed. We also figured out that if I am “out of sight”, I am also “out of mind”. So about 20 minutes before bedtime, Piper, Quinn and I go to our room to snuggle and watch television. Daddy and Davilyn have a snack and then go to Davilyn’s room to rock in the rocking chair.
Conversations with Piper
This has been working out really well and also gives Piper a chance to hold Quinn (which she loves to do and asks repeatedly all day long).
The other night while Piper was holding Quinn, she looked at me and said, “Mama, is she really OUR baby?”
“Yes Piper. She is really OUR baby and we get to keep her.”
