Happy 3rd Birthday, Davilyn!

Dear Davilyn;

Today you turn three.  I remember the day that you were born.  Hearing your newborn cry.  Bringing you home from the hospital to an excited big sister. Wondering how I would adjust to being a Mama of two.  You made it easy for me.

You love all things Rapunzel and Disney’s Tangled.  You know the songs from the movie and you repeat the words from various scenes.  You want your hair to grow long like Rapunzel and you ask me if it is glowing when I brush it.  You insist that there will be floating lanterns on your birthday this year and I am doing all that I can to make that wish come true.

You continue to love dressing up as a Princess and wearing diva shoes.  You love to sing and dance.  You love swinging and ask to go higher and higher.  As much as you love all things Princess and dresses, you also love to dig for worms.  You carry the worms in your hands and ask if you can keep them.  I think it’s gross and refuse to let them in the house.

You are getting so big and will go to Preschool in the fall.  I wonder what that will be like for you and how you will adjust to it all.  It will certainly make for some interesting changes when you are in Preschool and Piper is in Kindergarten. As it is now, you are excited and ready.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that we start to get some decent weather here so that we can get out and go camping.  It’s been a miserably wet and cold spring so far.

Davilyn, I cannot believe that you are three.  How is that three years have gone by so fast.  You continue to keep me on my toes and you have taught me that we should take more time to stop and pick the dandelions.  You are my Little Spitfire and you make this life worth it.
