Miller’s Time

We love to camp.  When Craig and I were just two, we ventured out in a tent.  The year we had Piper, we bought an old pop up tent trailer.  It was small and quaint… and old.

The year after Davilyn arrived we bought a new pop up tent trailer.  It was much bigger.  We loved it.  Mostly, we just ventured an hour from home for weekends and in 2010, we drove to Alberta with it for two weeks.

We love to camp.

The last few years booking camp sites in our area has become harder and harder to do.  The demand is high.  Last year we only managed to get out a handful of times.  So we started to look at a few private campgrounds in our area that would allow us to park our camper for the summer in a “permanent” spot and we started planning to buy a bigger camper.

So we found a nice little spot that is within an hour from home and have already been spending our time out there.  When Sunday rolls around, we all look at each other and say we want to stay.  Piper starts asking on Saturday morning if we can stay more than one more night.  I start to dream of winning a small lottery.

We have met some super nice families.  This past weekend we spent all afternoon Saturday and all morning Sunday sitting in lawn chairs watching the kids swim.  It was glorious.  Here is the sign for our little home away from home.

I was ready for a nap.  I thought if we put in a movie and vegged out the girls would nap.  I was the only one that fell asleep.

Quinn is far too brave in the water for me.  I think we must be bringing her life jacket to use.

All the kids were collecting tadpoles and frogs!  Yucky to me but it kept them entertained all day.

And this is a slice of our home away from home this summer. We are loving it!
