I had almost a total of three weeks off over Christmas. I’ve been back to work for a week and its kicking my ass. Well that and staying up past midnight watching seasons 1 and 2 of The Vampire Diaries.
It’s the late bedtimes that are kicking my ass.
But the real reason I haven’t been blogging much lately is because I am tackling a huge project with our home videos and pictures. Shit fell apart in that area when I had 2 then 3 kids. I have always been quite good about backing up my pictures but I haven’t been doing much else with them.
I have started grouping the videos in order by date and attempting to create an iMovie product that allows me to save them to DVD in continuous play format. I’m not even making those fancy. I just simply want to put a DVD in the player and know I am watching home videos from 2006.
It’s a pretty big task.
I pretty much stopped digital scrap booking just before Quinn arrived. Not because I wanted to but because I have no time for it. I also don’t have a digital scrapbook for Quinn. The third child really does get the shaft. Sorry Quinner. What I am hoping to do though is to create some picture books for her. It won’t be the same but at this point in our busy lives, it is better than nothing.
So far I have managed to get 2006 (Piper’s birth year) on DVD. I want to bring those up to current. It takes hours but I know we will all love this and I can’t wait to sit down with the family and put them in and watch them on our television.
