After a very tiring and boring day at home yesterday
(the winds were so strong that it knocked out the
satellite signal for television) Piper and I needed
to get out of the house.
Well it is darn tootin cold here. The winds are still
raging today so I bundled Piper up in one of her
one piece fall/winter outfits and we headed to the
mall.
I love Piper, I love being a Momma, and I love staying
home with her. Piper is fun. Being a Momma is fun.
Playing on the floor with Piper is fun and taking her
swimming is fun.
But cold weather and babies…. NOT FUN! There is
nothing fun about having to bundle her up and put
her in the van. Nope. Not freaking fun at all. I am
pretty certain she would agree with me too.
Just when you think packing up and taking a baby
out couldn’t get anymore complicated (what with
all the diapers, wipes, food, formula, extra clothing)
the cold weather comes and laughs a hearty laugh
at all of us.

I would imagine Manitoba is slightly more cold than NC, but today was pretty brutal for Fall! I always hate adjusting Lily’s carseat when she’s wearing a jacket! And she loves to pull off her shoes so she can eat her socks. Weird baby.
As far as the IF thing, I wish you only the best of luck! I hope that you can have siblings for Piper and more love than you can imagine. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I just took a quick look at Piper’s pictures. OMG, I LOVE THEM! She is so gorgeous! Give her a hug for me (“Uh, Piper, some strange lady from blogland wants me to hug you, so here you go!” — Piper looks at her mommy, bewildered)
I hear you on this. You know what else isn’t fun? Trying to buckle a bundled up baby into a car seat on a feezing cold day. It’s all fluff and down and you never know if it’s squeezing the baby too tight.
Being a parent is fun, it’s the most fun I’ve ever had. I’m glad you’re there too.
