On the day of Piper’s birth, I spent the first half of the day dealing with contractions on a big round exercise ball. It was glorious. Craig was often by my side rubbing my back when I had a contraction. It helped. I felt pretty good, especially in between contractions. This picture here was taken at around noon. Fast forward to about 2:00 pm, the contractions were coming fast and furiously. I was laying on my left side, just made the decision to have an epidural and in a brief moment between contractions I looked up at Craig and said, “I knew that ball girl was too good to be true.”
