Dearest Davilyn ~

I am so proud of you!  We have been struggling with the potty training thing for quite some time now, but you have decided to really give it your attention.  We are still having some accidents but you are doing awesome!  We often cheer: A W E S O M E, awesome, awesome totally!  You love that cheer and, to be honest, I do too.

We are having some issues with your sleeping habits lately and I am getting frustrated about it.  A few weeks ago you started sharing a room with Piper and, at first, it went well!  You were going to bed without a fuss, sleeping all night and waking at your regular time 7:00.  Then something happened.  You started fussing about bedtime.  You are waking up multiple times each night and starting your day at 6:00 a.m.  We need to fix this.  Everyone in this house is suffering and tired.  So, please let’s work this out.

It’s hard to believe that it is October already.  Where is the time going.  You are starting swimming lessons in a week and you are so excited!  You love the water and I hope you love swimming lessons just as much.  You are my wild child.  You do things without any thought about safety, even after I warn you.  You leap before you look.

You can count to 13 and you can sing your ABC’s.  You love to colour and play outside.  Your laugh makes my heart sing and your kisses are sweet as candy (sometimes literally!).  You have an attitude and a strong will.  Despite how these two characteristics can frustrate me as your mom, I also know that they will serve you well in life.  Foster them.  You will need them as you grow.

I love your smile and when you wink at me.  Never stop winking at me.

Mama loves you, Boo.

Love Mama.
