Again.
After all these years.
I used to run a bit. In highschool it was part of my training for soccer. Running the annual cross-country run while in school. I used to run.
Surely my body can remember that I used to be an Athlete. Right?
I am on Week 4 Day 2 of the 5K Runner program that I have downloaded to my iPhone and iPad. I was doing great until Week 4 Day 1. My legs started burning like crazy and I wondered if I was going to be able to pull it off.
But.
I hung in there. I finished it.
I then took two days rest. I have only been taking one days rest each week but sometimes life gets in the way.
So far I am finding this program manageable. I don’t want to say it’s easy but I haven’t been struggling too much. I do find it hard to believe that if I keep this up I will be running 5K by the end of April. It’s exciting and I am extremely happy about my progress.
I do, however, wish the scale would start showing me some love.
