What an incredible weekend of hockey. My hope for the weekend was that you would get your first goal and you did! It was so exciting. You turned around and looked up at me in the stands and we were both jumping up and down. I was so very happy for you.
For a girl who thought she would never play hockey again, you are playing so awesome! Not only did you get your first goal, but you have picked up quite the number of assists. In our first game, they announced the goal scorers and those with assists. I was one proud Mama when I heard your beautiful name on that loud speaker.
You had a wonderful weekend with your team and you have made some new friendships. This, my dear Davilyn, is what it is all about. Watching friendships blossom and bonds form between you, Piper and all the rest of the girls on the team is so fun for me.
No matter where your little hockey career takes you, you will never forget these days. I hope your bursting with pride, because you have earned it and I am bursting with pride for you.
