Dear Davilyn ~
We had a wonderful Christmas and a busy January. Life never seems to slow down in a family of five. It’s just the way it is.
We went skating on the lake where we swim in the summer. Papa built us a rink to use. We haven’t had much time to get out there and use it but it was fun when we did. January was pretty busy for us after the nice Christmas break that we enjoyed. We spent two weeks off together and then jumped backed into activities and school.
Uncle Greg passed away after a long, hard fight with with cancer. It was your first real experience with death and with death after an illness. It’s been a hard area to navigate with you all and you have had a difficult time processing it.
Life has lots of these experiences but we just hope they will be few and far between.
