Dear Piper ~

For Halloween this year, you decided (quite some time ago) to be a Ninja. You picked out your own costume and you practised your moves for months. We went to Trunk or Treat and it was a lot of fun. You got more than you needed. We came home, dumped out the first haul and then went door to door with friends. It was a good night. No snow and the weather was mild.

Hockey is in full swing. You are working hard and your skating is improving even more than last year. Your puck handling is coming along too. I’m really excited for your progress. Your sportsmanship continues to make us proud.

Your Coach has you playing defence right now… and maybe for the entire season. It didn’t stop you from getting your hat trick in your first game of the season… and it won’t. Learning to play defence will make you a better and stronger player. It will be an asset to help your team both when scoring goals and defending your net.

I can’t believe how big you look on the ice. You have grown so much from your Initiation days as a four year old.

Mama loves you Magoo.

Love Mama
